On 5 and 6 September 2024, I attended the Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) in Vilnius.
The conference was held under the overarching theme “Technological Change and International Law” and focused on the profound impact of technological developments – such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digitalization – on public international law.
The conference offered a rich program featuring theoretical and practical contributions, interdisciplinary perspectives, and lively discussions. The impressive venue in the historic old town of Vilnius, combined with the excellent organization, made the event a truly inspiring experience.
