On September 26–27, 2024, the annual conference of ICON·S Germany took place at the University of Mannheim under the title “(Re)Vision”. The event was expertly organized by Stefanie Egidy and her team – many thanks to them for the seamless coordination.
The conference once again provided an excellent forum for exchanging ideas on current developments in public law – this time in a particularly memorable setting: the vaulted lower floors (“catacombs”) of the eastern wing of Mannheim Palace.
I had the pleasure of commenting on two impressive dissertation projects as part of the “Works in Progress” workshop – by Paolo Mazzotti (Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg) and Max Noll (University of Göttingen).
In addition, I was pleased to moderate the engaging panel on “Human Rights and Courts.”
